Even though Baby Holly Clouse has been found alive and well, the case of her parents’ murder remains unsolved. In 1980, 17-year-old Tina Gail Linn Clouse and 21-year-old Harold Dean Clouse Jr. moved from Florida to Texas to start a new life. However, the parents went missing. In 1981, two bodies were discovered in Texas woods. The condition of the corpses was terrible and completely unrecognizable.
Year later, in in 2021, forensic genealogists finally learned that the bodies belonged to Baby Holly’s parents. The couple were victims of homicide. Her father, Harold, had been beaten, bound, and gagged. However, her mother, Tina was a victim of strangulation. When the couple’s family learned about their fates, they revealed that they even had a one-year-old baby.
In June 2022, Baby Holly Clouse was discovered in Oklahoma. She was 42 years old and had five children. The investigation for her parent’s murder is still in progress. The Texas Attorney General’s Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit has urged anybody with information about the couple or the case to contact them at coldcaseunit@oag.texas.gov.
