My Stand-In episode 9 recap: Poom Phuripan finds Poom Phuripan’s body
While his body gets cremated, Joe breaks down and pushes Ming as he asks him, “Why are you crying now?” Wut and Sol then drag the former away. Furthermore, Ming informs the three that he has legal ownership of all Joe’s belongings, including his ashes.
When Joe questions him, Ming says he’ll scatter the ashes in the sea and burn all his stuff so there’s no memory left of him. Afterward, Wut notes Ming might be bluffing as it isn’t possible to get all the paperwork done so much. Joe agrees that it might be a trap.
Later, Joe breaks into his old place to get the stuff that holds memories for him. Joe first takes the photos with his parents. Then he looks at the couple of mugs Ming has gifted him. The latter suddenly appears, asserting that only the old Joe would have known where the photo could have been. Ming then says he’s confident it is the old Joe in this body after seeing his reaction at the cremation. Joe realizes the former said he’ll burn the stuff to lure him here.
Furthermore, Joe says he didn’t tell Ming the truth as he didn’t want to be Tong’s replacement again. However, the latter says he missed Joe daily for the last three years. Ming then apologizes and says he loves him.
The former asks Joe to start over and promises never to upset him again. The two are interrupted when Sol punches Ming. Afterward, the former tells Joe that the latter doesn’t love him and only feels guilty. Joe agrees and says he won’t let history repeat itself.
Later, Joe attends the press conference for the music video with Sol. However, Ming comes in the middle and hands flowers to the former. Later, the former tries to make up with Joe, but he asks him to escape his life.
Furthermore, Ming tells Joe he is his first and only love. However, the latter says his love for the former died with the old Joe and asks him to let him go.
