Thai BL Drama Two Worlds made its debut with two episodes that aired on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 8 p.m. ICT on iQIYI. It follows the story of Kram (Nat Natasitt Uareksit), who jumps into a sacred pond after finding his lover, Phupha (Gun Thapanawat Kaewbumrung), murdered. The two parallel worlds get intertwined whenever the sacred pond’s water turns blue. After jumping, Kram gets transported to a world where Tai (Max Kornthas Rujeerattanavorapan) is his lover. However, in this world, Kram had died years ago.
Episode 1 begins with Phupha moving in with Kram and his father to keep him safe. Phupha is under the threat of getting attacked by the Big Slum gang as he’s going to take over his father’s role at work. Phupha and Kram then begin to get close. Their feelings for each other come to the surface when Phupha asks Kram to draw a naked portrait of him. The pair share their first kiss, followed by several intimate moments as they fall in love.
Their bubble shatters when Tai, the son of the Big Slum gang’s head, attacks Phupha. However, he manages to escape. Kram then learns the shocking truth that Phupha is already engaged. Their conversation is suddenly interrupted when his fiancée Run’s father gets attacked. Phupha and Kram rush him to the hospital. There, Phupha remembers that he is not his father’s real son. Suspecting that it was his father who sent people to attack him and Uncle Viroj, Phupha goes to confront him. He tells Kram to call the police if he isn’t back by morning. The next day, Kram finds Phupha brutally murdered.
Two Worlds EP 1 & EP 2 recap: Kram asks for Tai’s help to save Phupha
In Episode 2 of Two Worlds, Kram heads to the Moon Shadow Waterfall after losing his lover, Phupha. Kram jumps into the pond after the locket that Phupha had given him slips from his hand and falls into the water. When he wakes up, he finds Tai standing in front of him. However, this Tai is different from the one he knows from his world. The Tai he knows has a scar on his face and has killed Kram’s mother. This Tai is also confused as the Kram he knows has died years ago.
Tai takes Kram to Lady Lu to understand what may have happened. She tells them about the Moon Shadow Waterfall myth. She says when the water turns blue, the sacred pond reunites people with the ones deceased. However, that doesn’t mean it resurrects the ones who have died. The pond pulls in people from the parallel world. Lady Lu tells them the water usually turns blue on a full moon night.
Two Worlds EP 1 & EP 2 recap: Kram makes plan to save Phupha
Upon finding out Phupha is still alive in this world, Kram comes up with a plan to save him. He asks Tai to help him, but he refuses. After several attempts to convince Tai, Kram finally gets a breakthrough when he tells Tai the truth about his relationship with Phupha in his world.
As Phupha has been having nightmares, similar to how the other world’s Phupha was unfortunately murdered, he appoints a bodyguard. It is Tai who signs up for the position. Kram, too, appears for an interview at Khumfah, Phupha’s company. Despite getting rejected at first, Kram clears the interview after he tells Phupha he is Lady Lu’s nephew. As Phupha wants to buy Lady Lu’s piece of land at the Moon Shadow Waterfall, he hires Kram.
The episode ends with Kram taking Phupha to the Moonlight Pond. In an attempt to save his life, Kram forces Phupha to jump with him in the water when it turns blue again.
