The new Thai GL series 23.5 (23point5) released episode 2 on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 8:30 p.m. ICT on channel GMM 25. The Thai Drama follows the story of Ongsa (Milk Pansa Vosbein) and how her world turns upside down when she moves to a new school in a new city and meets Sun (Love Pattranite Limpatiyakorn).
Episode 2 begins with Ongsa having a chat with her classmates. They are shocked to learn that Ongsa is the sister of renowned student president Alpha. Amid the conversation, Ongsa’s phone starts to go off as she receives several messages from Sun. Ongsa tries to ignore Sun’s message after the latter had misunderstood her for a guy, Earth. But her efforts go in vain as she finally gives up and replies to Sun’s messages, all smitten.
Ongsa and her friends then go around the clubs to decide which one to join. While her classmates quickly choose theirs, Ongsa is still contemplating between the options. Right on time, Luna walks in and announces that she is re-opening the Astronomy Club after five years. However, the students are unhappy with the news since the club has a reputation for cursing its members. Despite the rumors, Sun asks Ongsa if she wants to check out the Astronomy Club.
The two meet the club’s head, Luna, and register. However, the club is still short on one member. Luna tries to convince Aylin to register for the Astronomy Club, but she refuses. Concerned, Ongsa asks Sun if she’s worried about the club’s curse. Sun tells her that she doesn’t believe in superstitions like that. After seeing Ongsa’s dilemma, Sun compares her to the guy she met online. Little does Sun know the person behind the messages is standing next to her.
23.5 episode 2 recap: What is Astronomy Club’s curse?
In the 23.5 episode 2, Ongsa continues to talk to Sun as Earth, an anonymous guy from Phuket. Sun asks Earth to meet her if he comes to Bangkok. Ongsa decides to play along. However, pretending to be Earth takes a toll on her. She goes outside and throws her phone in the bin. She blames the curse for these events. According to the rumors, members of the Astronomy Club face a series of unfortunate events until they’re forced to leave the school.
Assuming that she’s being affected by the club’s curse, Ongsa decides to resign. Sun tries to make Ongsa stay and asks her not to leave her. The poor girl feels helpless after seeing Sun’s persuasion and decides to stay. Luna then again tries to get Aylin to join the club. This time, she succeeds after talking about the topic that interests Aylin the most – aliens.
Meanwhile, Sun feels lost as she hasn’t heard from Earth all day. Thanks to Ongsa throwing her phone away. Sun thinks that Earth has suddenly disappeared and is ghosting her. Sun, too, assumes that she has started to get affected by the Astronomy Club’s curses. Together with Ongsa, the two tell Luna that they want to quit the club. However, things take a turn when Aylin walks in and says she wants to become a member. Ongsa asks her cousin if she’s sure about joining the club considering the curse. Aylin simply tells her that superstitions don’t affect aliens. To make things worse, teacher Bambam falls down the stairs, worrying Sun and Ongsa even more.
Nonetheless, the curse situation starts to clear up when Sun and Earth reconcile after Ongsa finds her phone. The 23.5 episode ends with the school’s popular guy, Ton, telling Ongsa’s friends he is her ex-boyfriend, while Sun is shocked at the discovery.
