The official new Game Night trailer is here!
This is not a game.
Starring Jason Bateman (Ozark) and Rachel McAdams (Doctor Strange), Warner Bros. Pictures‘ Game Night is a new comedy action movie centered around a couples game night gone horribly wrong.
Bateman and McAdams star as a very competitive couple, Max and Annie, who are seemingly obsessed with games, competition, and winning. After being invited to what is promised to be the most epic game night ever by Max’s brother, Brooks (Kyle Chandler), the couple finds themselves realizing that the murder mystery party they have attended may not be just a game after all.
In the middle of the party, Brooks gets kidnapped by what Max and Annie (as well as the other couples) assume are fake thugs and federal agents. Taking place over one crazy night, Max, Annie, and their friends find themselves in over their heads with every new twist and turn thrown their way as game night becomes a literal life and death situation.
The dark comedy was created by directing team John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the minds behind 2015’s Vacation. Daley explained to IGN that they wanted to make Game Night visually similar to a David Fincher film, saying Fincher’s filmmaking style is an “interesting technique for comedy.”
Game Night is set to arrive in theaters on Feb. 23, 2018.
