Sony Pictures has just released the trailer for director Nathan Frankowski’s dramatic true story To Write Love on Her Arms (formerly known as both Day One and Renee). Check it out in the player below!
Based on the true story that started a global movement, To Write Love on Her Arms aims to present a vision of hope, healing and redemption. Emmy Award winner Kat Dennings (“2 Broke Girls,” Thor) stars as Renee Yohe, a Florida girl who struggles with addiction and abuse. In a creative blend of artistic fantasy and music conflicted with hard reality, Renee discovers the value of genuine friendships and embarks on a daunting yet courageous journey towards recovery.
The organization behind the true story, TWLOHA, was founded in 2006 and, serves as a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.
The film also stars Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill,” House of Wax), Rupert Friend (“Homeland,” The Young Victoria) and Corbin Bleu (High School Musical, “One Life to Live”) and also features onscreen musical performances by Travie McCoy, Rachael Yamagata and many others.
Look for To Write Love on Her Arms to hit theaters in March of 2015.
