Tiger Style Media announced today that they would be looking to usher in a new era of martial arts cinema with four new films, two of which previously received trailers.
When do Tiger Style Media’s Lady Scorpions & Kung Fu Games come out?
Tiger Style Media was founded by Oscar-nominated producer Shannon McIntosh (Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood) and aims to honor classic English martial arts films while also delivering new and dynamic twists to them. Lady Scorpions and Kung Fu Games, each of which feature elite, world-class fighters, will be released as a double feature in select theaters on August 23, 2024. They will then receive digital releases in September as Lady Scorpions will be released September 3, 2024, and Kung Fu Games on September 10, 2024.
Lady Scorpions features legendary martial arts actress and Hall of Famer Cynthia Rothrock (Lady Dragon), as well as world champion Caitlin Dechelle (Wonder Woman) and Jeff Fahey. The movie is directed by Bruce Del Castillo, from a screenplay written by H. Daniel Gross (who produced and co-wrote all four Tiger Style Media movies), Sephen Carolan, and Castillo.
“An ex-FBI agent’s fight against a crime syndicate becomes personal when they kidnap her granddaughter. She and her daughter, both martial arts masters, form an unstoppable team. Together, they outmaneuver and defeat the syndicate’s henchmen in a calculated game of cat and mouse, on a relentless mission to save her and topple the criminal empire,” says the Lady Scorpions synopsis.

Kung Fu Games stars three-time Wushu/Kung Fu world champion Jade Xu (Black Widow), Mark Strange, Dechelle, Jose Manuel, Matthew Goodwin, and Lathrop Walker. It comes from director Ryan Jaeger, who co-wrote the script with Gross. It is produced by McIntosh, Gross, and Jaeger.
“A group of renowned but notorious fighters find themselves ensnared in a deadly martial arts game show orchestrated by a powerful magnate with a thirst for violence. Armed only with their elite hand-to-hand combat skills, each battle pits the contestants in a brutal broadcasted fight for survival, where advancing means eliminating the competition in a kill or be killed showdown,” says the Kung Fu Games synopsis.
