The trailer for the forthcoming drama movie The Young Wife has officially dropped, starring Kiersey Clemons and Leon Bridges as a soon-to-be married couple whose wedding might not push through after the bride experiences a panic attack.
The film had its world premiere at the 2023 South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival. It will be available to rent or buy on digital platforms starting on Friday, May 31.
“On her wedding day, all that stands between a young woman and marital bliss with her soon-to-be husband is surviving the chaos and expectations of family and friends,” reads the film’s synopsis.

Who’s involved in The Young Wife?
The Young Wife is written and directed by Tayarisha Poe. The film will star Kiersey Clemons (The Flash), singer-songwriter Leon Bridges, Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker), Aya Cash (The Boys), Michaela Watkins (Saturday Night Live), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott ELementary), Judith Light (Poker Face), Lovie Simone (Selah and the Spades), A. Jae Michele (Nobody Willl Believe You), Brandon Micheal Hall (God Friended Me), and Sandy Honig (Three Busy Debras). It is produced by Tatiana Bears, Lara Costa Calzado, Anne Carey, and Rebecca Choi, with Ashley Fox and Amy Nauiokas serving as executive producers.
Prior to The Young Wife, Clemons was recently seen playing the role of May in Apple TV+’s MonsterVerse series Monarch: Legacy of Monster, which has just been renewed for a second season. She’s also best known for her roles in movies like Dope, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Flatliners, Little Bitches and Hearts Beat Loud.
