Magnolia Pictures and Magnet Releasing have dropped a The Animal Kingdom trailer for the upcoming U.S. debut of the acclaimed sci-fi thriller drama.
The video highlights an alternate reality where people around the world suddenly transform into human/animal hybrids. Following its world premiere at 76th Cannes Film Festival, the film will release on March 15 in theaters and on digital.

What is The Animal Kingdom about?
“The film drops viewers into an extraordinary world where mutations in human genetics cause people to transform into hybrid creatures, François does everything he can to save his wife, who is affected by this mysterious condition,” reads the synopsis. “As some of the creatures disappear into a nearby forest, François embarks with Emile, their 16-year-old son, on a quest to find her with help from a local police officer.”
Described a visionary thriller, The Animal Kingdom is directed by Thomas Cailley from a screenplay he co-wrote with Pauline Munier. The film stars Romain Duris, Paul Kircher, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Tom Mercier, Billie Blain, Nathalie Richard, Saadia Bentaieb, Gabriel Caballero, Iliana Khelifa, and Paul Muguruza.
