The Curse of Willow Song trailer is here, which highlights Karen Lam’s new chiller. Uncork’d Entertainment has also finally set a release date for the movie. This comes nearly three years since its world premiere at the 2020 Vancouver International Film Festival.
“The Curse of Willow Song has so much to offer. It will appeal for the genre audience but also the Asian community – as represented in front of and behind camera,” said Uncork’d Entertainment’s Keith Leopard in a statement. “Karen Lam is truly one of the most exceptional filmmakers out there, and The Curse of Willow Song reiterates that.”

When is The Curse of Willow Song release date?
The Curse of Willow Song will be available to rent or purchase on Digital and DVD on September 26. The film stars Valerie Tian (Jennifer’s Body), Elfina Luk (Skyscraper), Ingrid Nilson (My Little Pony), Adam Lolacher (The 100), Amanda Burke (The X-Files), Johannah Newmarch (You Me Her), Natalie Grace (Fringe), Simon Chin, Dejan Loyola (Saving Hope), Nelson Leis (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), David Lewis (The X-Files) and Wren Walker.
“Willow Song, a recovering addict and parolee, […] finds herself in a concrete wasteland,” reads the synopsis. “Facing isolation and displacement, shadows creep into Willow’s mind and her nightmares become too real.”
The film is written and directed by Lam, who produces along with Karen Wong. Its creative team also includes editor Jeanne Slater and cinematographer Thomas Billingsley.
