A24 has dropped the official trailer for You Hurt My Feelings, the upcoming comedy drama starring Emmy-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The video features Louis-Dreyfus as a novelist whose life changes after she accidentally overhears her husband’s honest review of her latest book, making her doubt their marriage.
The film had its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. It is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 26.

You Hurt My Feelings is written and directed by Nicole Holofcener, who previously worked with the Veep alum in 2013’s Enough Said. It is produced by Louis-Dreyfus, Holofcener, Stefanie Azpiazu, and Anthony Bregman.
“In the film, Louis-Dreyfus plays a novelist whose long-standing marriage is suddenly upended when she overhears her husband (Menzies) give his honest reaction to her latest book,” reads the synopsis. “It’s a film about trust, lies, and the things we say to the people we love most.”
The film will also star Tobias Menzies (The Crown), Arian Moayed (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Michaela Watkins (Trophy Wife), David Cross (Arrested Development), Amber Tamblyn (The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants), Owen Teague (The Stand), Jeannie Berlin (The Heartbreak Kid), Zach Cherry (Severance), Sarah Steele (The Good Wife), and more.
