In what has become an annual tradition, Warner Bros. Animation is releasing yet another animated Mortal Kombat film in 2022. Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind is the latest entry and the first trailer for it focuses on Kenshi Takahashi, Mortal Kombat‘s iconic blind warrior. The film is also coming out on digital storefronts on October 9 and on Blu-Ray on October 11.

The trailer mostly focuses on Kenshi’s journey and how he became blind. However, it also features other Mortal Kombat characters both new and old. It has a look at Kano’s new cybernetic body, Shang Tsung, Kabal, Erron Black, and Ferra Torr. While the first three are Mortal Kombat staples, the latter two first debuted in Mortal Kombat X.
IGN also recently reported on the voice talent, which revealed that Manny Jacinto from The Good Place was voicing Kenshi. The other parts of the cast are as follows:
- Manny Jacinto as Kenshi
- David Wenham as Kano
- Ron Yuan as Kuai Liang/Sub-Zero
- Keith Silverstein as Kabal
- Courtenay Taylor as Kira
- Yuri Lowenthal as Kobra
- Artt Butler as Shang Tsung and Lin Kuei
- Imari Williams as Tremor
Rick Morales, who also produced the prior two films, is producing and directing. Jeremy Adams is also returning to write Snow Blind.
While new Mortal Kombat films have been releasing every year for the past three years, it’s not clear when the next game will be coming out. Johnny Cage’s voice actor dropped a hint that he was recording something for Mortal Kombat and an odd desk photo from a NetherRealm employee both seemed to point to Mortal Kombat 12, something reporter Jeff Grubb said was on the way.
