Marvel’s Eternals Trailer Shows Ambitious Scale, 3 Minutes of Footage

The first Marvel’s Eternals trailer for Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao’s highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film has been released.

The star-studded movie is out November 5 and features a cast led by Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Kit Harington, Brian Tyree Henry, and Richard Madden. The trailer is our best look yet at the upcoming MCU title and shows nearly three minutes of footage.

Based on Jack Kirby’s Marvel comics of the same name, Eternals welcomes an exciting new team of superheroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants

The outstanding ensemble cast includes Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao, who is coming off from winning numerous awards including Best Picture and Best Director at the recent Golden Globe and Oscar awards. It is co-written by Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige set as the producer.
