Marvel Studios’ Eternals Gets First Teaser Trailer & Poster

Marvel Studios has finally released the first Eternals teaser trailer for Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao’s highly-anticipated MCU film, featuring a star-studded cast led by Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, and Richard Madden. The film is currently slated to arrive in theaters on November 5.

The video begins with the arrival of the titular heroes to Earth, where they guided and taught its inhabitants to develop human civilization throughout the years. It also teases the dynamic and teamwork between the super-powered immortal team as well as a glimpse into the relationship between Chan’s Sersi and Madden’s Ikaris.

Based on Jack Kirby’s Marvel comics of the same name, Eternals welcomes an exciting new team of superheroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants.

The outstanding ensemble cast includes Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao, who is coming off from winning numerous awards including Best Picture and Best Director at the recent Golden Globe and Oscar awards. It is co-written by Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige set as the producer.
