ComingSoon is excited to debut a clip from Swan Song, which is available via video on demand this Friday. The film stars Udo Kier (My Own Private Idaho, Downsizing), Jennifer Coolidge (American Pie), and Linda Evans (Dynasty). It’s directed by Todd Stephens, who also wrote the script. It won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival and Kier won the Jury Prize for Best Actor.
“Legendary actor Udo Kier stars as retired hairdresser Pat Pitsenbarger, who escapes the confines of his small-town Sandusky, Ohio nursing home after learning of his former client’s dying wish for him to style her final hairdo,” says the official synopsis. “Soon, Pat embarks on an odyssey to confront the ghosts of his past – and collect the beauty supplies necessary for the job. Swan Song is a comical and bittersweet journey about rediscovering one’s sparkle, and looking gorgeous while doing so.”
Our clip features Kier as Pitsenbarger, who receives a visit from the attorney of one of his former clients. He’s then told that his client’s dying wish was to get her hair done by Pitsenbarger for the funeral.
