Coming off from scoring his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, Strand Releasing has released the official trailer for the upcoming U.S. release of Riz Ahmed’s latest drama film titled Mogul Mowgli. It interestingly bears some little similarities to Ahmed’s acclaimed movie Sound of Metal as they both feature the 38-year-old actor as a musician who gets suddenly stricken by an illness.
The Mogul Mowgli trailer features Ahmed as a rising rapper who must face his past while dealing with a sudden illness that threatens his promising career. The film is slated to open in New York and Los Angeles theaters on September 3.
