ComingSoon is excited to debut an exclusive Out of Death clip from Vertical Entertainment’s action film, which stars Bruce Willis as a retired cop that helps a hiker played by Jaime King get away from her pursuers. The film is out in theaters and on demand this Friday, July 16.

“Retired cop Jack Harris’s (Bruce Willis) solace in the remote wilderness is hijacked when he encounters a lone hiker, Shannon (Jaime King), who’s on the run from dirty police,” reads the official synopsis. “Determined to help her at any cost, Jack must tap into his killer instincts to survive the wilderness and the human predators within it.”

In the 70-second clip, Willis confronts two members of the sheriff’s department and has them surrender their weapons. After getting them on their knees, Willis explains that he’s a cop and asks about what happened to learn more. After shooting some warning shots to get people to calm down, he tries to get everyone to go to the police station before it ends.
Out of Death is directed by Mike Burns from a script penned by Bill Lawrence. Joining Willis and King is Lala Kent and Michael Sirow for the main cast. It’s produced by Randall Emmett, George Furla, Shaun Sanghani, Chad A. Verdi, and Luillo Ruiz. The film is rated R for language, violence, and drug use.
