After acquiring the highly-anticipated sci-fi thriller from Brandon Cronenberg (Antiviral), NEON has debuted the first red band teaser trailer for Possessor starring Andrea Riseborough (The Grudge), which warns that no body is safe. The teaser can be viewed in the player below!

Written and directed by Cronenberg, son to acclaimed David Cronenberg (The Fly), his second feature follows corporate agent Tasya Vos (Riseborough) who works for a secretive organization that uses brain-implant technology to in habit other people’s bodies — ultimately driving them to commit assassinations for high-paying clients.
In addition to Riseborough and Abbot, the cast includes Tuppence Middleton (The Imitation Game), Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings franchise), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Rossif Sutherland (The Expanse) and Raoul Bhaneja (Miss Sloane).
“NEON is a hugely exciting distributor, and I’ve been eager to work with them for a while now,” Cronenberg previously said in a statement. “I’m thrilled they are taking on Possessor in collaboration with Well Go USA, who made production of the film possible.”

Cronenberg’s debut feature, Antiviral, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won a number of awards, including Best Canadian First Feature film at the Toronto International Film Festival and Best New Director at Sitges Film Festival.
Neon, who have been distributing films for 3 years, have become well-known for their work distributing genre fare including The Beach Bum, Little Monsters, Colossal, Assassination Nation and Parasite, which won four statues at this year’s Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature Film.
