Tyler James Williams, Anna Camp, Wanda Sykes & more join The Wedding Year
Lakeshore Entertainment announced today that Tyler James Williams (Dear White People, Everybody Hates Chris) will star opposite Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) in The Wedding Year, directed by romantic comedy veteran Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde, The Ugly Truth, Monster-in-Law). In addition, Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect, The Help), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish, Evan Almighty), Jenna Dewan (Step Up, American Horror Story), Keith David (Greenleaf, The Princess and the Frog) and Patrick Warburton (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Get Smart) also join the ensemble cast.
In the film, LA photographer Mara Hickey (Hyland) is never getting married. So, when she and her new ready-to-settle-down boyfriend are invited to fifteen weddings in the same year, the pressure is on Mara to make some big decisions.
Tom Connolly (Lost, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life), Grace Helbig (Trolls) and Fred Grandy (The Mindy Project, Charlie’s Angels) are also set to star.
Written by Don Diego, the film will be produced by Lakeshore’s Gary Lucchesi, Marc Reid, and Mark Korshak. Sarah Hyland will also serve as executive producer.
Principal photography on the project began on May 21 and continues in Los Angeles.
