Oscar winner Allison Janney (I, Tonya, Mom) and actor-comedian Jim Gaffigan (Chappaquiddick, Super Troopers 2) are joining Amazon Studios‘ family dramedy Troupe Zero.
The two will be starring alongside the previously-announced Oscar, Golden Globe, and Emmy winner Viola Davis (Fences, How to Get Away with Murder) and Mckenna Grace (I, Tonya, Designated Survivor). Troupe Zero was written by Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and directed by Bert & Bertie (Dance Camp), with Todd Black (Fences) producing. Plot details on the project are currently unknown.
Janney earned several awards for her portrayal of Tonya Harding’s mother LaVona Golden in the critically-acclaimed movie I, Tonya. She can currently be seen in her Emmy Award-winning role in the CBS television series Mom, which was recently renewed for a sixth season.
Gaffigan currently has two films in theaters: Fox Searchlight’s Super Troopers 2, and the Ted Kennedy drama Chappaquiddick. His upcoming projects include Brittany Poulton and Daniel Savage’s Them That Follow and Derrick Borte’s thriller, American Dreamer.
