Julianne Hough has signed on to headline Time and a Half, says a story at Variety. The film will be directed by The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel screenwriter Ol Parker and scripted by Diablo Cody (who also cast Hough in her still-untitled directorial debut).
The storyline will feature Hough as a woman who, having just graduated college, winds up crossing paths with a man who is both her sister’s high school ex and the partner of her own one night stand.
Hough appeared earlier this year in Rock of Ages and can next be seen in Lasse Hallström’s Nicholas Sparks adaptation, Safe Haven.
Andrew Lazar and Michael London will produce Time and a Half through Groundswell and Mad Chance Productions, respectively.
