Fox has acquired the rights to The Epoch Index with Brad Peyton set to direct and Matt Reeves to produce
Fox has acquired the rights to Christian Cantrell’s short story The Epoch Index, according to Deadline. The film will be directed by Brad Peyton (Rampage, San Andreas). Justin Rhodes (Terminator, Fantastic Voyage) will pen the script and Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) will produce through his 6th & Idaho banner. Peyton and his producing partner Jeff Fierson will also produce. Matt Reilly will oversee for Fox.
Amazon describes The Epoch Index as follows: “Quinn Mitchell is a nine-to-five spy. She’s a data analyst for the CIA during the day, and a suburban wife and mother on evenings and weekends. After a series of personal struggles and professional failures, Quinn hopes to find redemption in her newest assignment: a series of bizarre assassinations where victims are found with three-digit numbers tattooed, burned, or carved into their flesh. As Quinn pursues the killer across the globe — always one body behind — their lives become entangled in ways neither of them can predict.”
Peyton and his producing partner Jeff Fierson will produce through Peyton’s ASAP Entertainment banner. The Epoch Index was released in 2010. What do you guys think of the premise for The Epoch Index? Are you excited about the team involved? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
