Johnny Depp and Wes Anderson Team For The Grand Budapest Hotel

Wes Anderson has found a new leading man for his next project, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Deadline reports that Johnny Depp is planning to make the film his first post-Lone Ranger production. Their confirmation comes on the heels of a report from Twitch last week that listed Depp as one of several actors in talks to appear in the then-untitled project. The rest of their list included Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jude Law, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Angela Lansbury.

Details beyond the title are few, but Anderson will both write and direct and will re-team with producers Scott Rudin and Steve Rales. Their recent project, Moonrise Kingdom, is in theaters now and has already grossed more than $44 million.

No other cast members have, as of yet, been confirmed, but check back for details as they become available.
