The Asteroid City Peacock release date for Wes Anderson‘s most recent sci-fi comedy film has been revealed by the streaming platform.
What is the Asteroid City Peacock release date?
The movie is set to debut exclusively on Peacock a week from now on Friday, August 11. It joins other popular movies from earlier this year like The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Renfield on the service. The film is coming to Peacock a month after it released digitally through premium video-on-demand services.
“A fictional American desert town, circa 1955. Junior Stargazers and Space Cadets from across the country assemble for the annual Asteroid Day celebration — but the scholarly competition is spectacularly upended by world-changing events,” reads the movie’s official description. “Equal parts comedy, drama, and romance (with a touch of science-fiction).”
Asteroid City was written and directed by Wes Anderson. The ensemble cast includes long-time Wes Anderson collaborators Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Bryan Cranston, Jeffrey Wright, Liev Schreiber, Tony Revolori, Jeff Goldblum, and Jack Ryan. Joining them are Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Hong Chau, Maya Hawke, Sophia Lillis, and more. The project is produced by Jeremy Dawson and Steven Rales.
