Expanding their short film “Seth and Jay vs. the Apocalypse” into a feature length comedy, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s The End of the World will feature Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson as themselves, facing the last days of mankind. Today, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that, filling out some of the project’s celebrity cameos, are Emma Watson, Jason Segel and David Krumholtz, all playing themselves.
“It’s all our friends, luckily,” Rogen told ComingSoon.net about the cast last year, “and we all play ourselves in the movie. I literally play Seth Rogen in the movie and Jay Baruchel literally plays himself in the movie and others – Jonah Hill, James Franco – they’re literally playing themselves in the movie… It’s a movie about a bunch of friends who are stuck in a house together as the apocalypse happens outside and they kind of barricade themselves in. They think they’ve kind of survived the worst and then they realize they all really can’t stand to be around each other as they’re stuck in this house together.””
Watson is best known for appearing in all eight Harry Potter films as Hermione Granger while Segel and Krumholtz are familiar on-screen compatriots of Rogen, all three having appeared on “Freaks and Geeks” together as well in several subsequent big screen projects.
