Jaden Smith is being eyed to lead an adaptation of the upcoming novel Boy Nobody, Variety reports. Written by Allen Zadoff, the first book is planned to launch a literary trilogy and will hit shelves in the spring of 2013.
Described by Publisher’s Weekly as being about, “…a brainwashed teenage assassin who starts to regain his emotions,” Boy Nobody‘s leading character is, “a young soldier trained not to feel; who could function in every situation without fear, sympathy or anger; who could assassinate strangers and then walk away emotionally unscathed.
“Teenage Jason Bourne is a good comparison!”, Zadoff tweeted back at one of his fans.
Smith can next be seen on the big screen opposite his father in M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth, hitting theaters on June 7, 2013.
