The Triple Frontier movie has had a number of casting changes. Back in April, Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises) and Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street, Magic Mike) left the film and Paramount pulled out. Affleck has been in talks for the role since then. The Triple Frontier movie has actually been trying to get off the ground for almost a decade. J.C. Chandor, the Oscar-nominated writer and director behind Margin Call, All Is Lost and A Most Violent Year, is taking the helm.
Among those attached to the Triple Frontier movie over the years are stars like Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks and Will Smith. Academy Award-winner Affleck is known for his work in films like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where he played Bruce Wayne/Batman, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor. He directed, co-produced and starred in Argo, which won an Academy Award for Best Picture.
