Marti Noxon Boards Ouija

Marti Noxon is the latest name to tackle the Hasbro board game adaptation Ouija, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

Set up through Platinum Dunes, the supernatural adventure was originally scripted by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz with Simon Kinberg coming in for a rewrite earlier this year. Universal Pictures was initially attached to release the project with McG directing, but let it go in August.

No stranger to the supernatural, Noxon was one of the writers on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and, this year, drafted I Am Number Four and Fright Night for Walt Disney Pictures. She also did a rewrite of the upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

The board game Ouija, meanwhile, has been produced by Hasbro’s Parker Brothers since 1966, with millions being sold worldwide.
