Vera Farmiga is the latest name to join the currently-in-production thriller Safe House, Deadline reports.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as a young CIA agent who becomes the house sitter of a governmental safe house. Denzel Washington will play a criminal in hiding there who must be transported to another location when the house comes under attack.
Farmiga, playing Reynold’s character’s supervisor, also joins Brendon Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Robert Patrick and Liam Cunningham in the Daniel Espinosa film. She most recently appeared opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Duncan Jones’ Source Code.
Safe House is filming now in South Africa and is planned to hit theaters on February 10th, 2012.
