Kevin Durand is the latest addition to the cast of David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, Variety is reporting.
The film, based on Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name, will be written and directed by Cronenberg and follows a multimillionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan as he attempts to get a haircut, betting his wealth against the declining Japanese Yen.
Robert Pattinson is slated to star as the millionaire and Durand will play the part of his head of security. The cast also includes Juliette Binoche, Sarah Gadon, Paul Giamatti and Samantha Morton.
Durand most recently appeared in I Am Number Four and in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood.
Cosmopolis is expected to begin production shortly, shooting in New York and Toronto.
