Just days after signing on for Summit Entertainment’s Now You See Me, Louis Leterrier has lined up his following gig. Universal Pictures has confirmed to ComingSoon.net that the Clash of the Titans director will then tackle their sci-fi film, G.
Little has been announced regarding the project, save for it being an original disaster movie based on an idea from producer Guymon Casady. Though it is thematic speculation at this stage, “G,” in science, refers to the gravitational constant. A grand-scale sci-fi disaster film could potentially deal with that constant being altered and the dramatic effects that would result across the Earth.
Universal’s Senior Executive Vice President of Production, Peter Cramer and Creative Executive Sara Scott will oversee the project for the studio as MG360’s Bryan Zuriff and Ben Forkner will executive produce, along with Rabbit Hole’s Nick Miller. Also producing, through Gambit Pictures, are Michael Hackett and George Nolfi (who just wrote and directed Universal’s The Adjustment Bureau.)
A script for G will be developed while Leterrier completes work on Now You See Me and the studio is currently looking for screenwriters.
