Ray Liotta, still best known for his iconic performance in Goodfellas, has signed onto the mob-centric Cogan’s Trade, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is headlined by Brad Pitt in the role of Jackie Cogan, a hit man’s point person who becomes involved in the investigation of a heist against the mob that takes place during a high-stakes poker game. Liotta’s character is said to be that of Mark “Markie” Trattman, the man responsible for setting up and running the poker game in the first place.
Based on the novel by George V. Higgins, the film arrives from The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford director Andrew Dominik and is also set to star James Gandolfini, Richard Jenkins, Bella Heathcote, Vincent Curatola and Sam Rockwell.
