Three more names have been added to the ensemble cast of New Year’s Eve, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. Included in the updated cast are Jon Bon Jovi, Seth Meyers and German actor Til Schweiger (known to American audiences for his performance as Sergeant Stiglitz in Inglourious Basterds).
The three join the evergrowing roster that currently also includes Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry, Zac Efron and Sienna Miller.
A thematic follow-up to Valentine’s Day, the movie will be set in New York and follows intertwining stories of characters trying to navigate their way through romance on New Year’s Eve.
Bon Jovi is said to be playing a rock star and former boyfriend to Berry’s character. She winds up running into him at a New Year’s party she is catering.
Meyers will star as husband to Biel’s character, aiming to have her deliver their child as the first baby of 2012 in order to win a $25,000 prize.
There is currently no word on Schweiger’s role, but details should emerge as the film heads into production, targeting a December 9th release.
