Though producer Charles Roven confirmed to us that Tom Hanks is set to star in The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal’s Triple Frontier, it looks like they may tackle a smaller international thriller first.
The two are reportedly shopping the project, which is said to tap into recent news events. Filming would take place before the fall 2011 start of Paramount’s Triple Frontier.
The movie is about black ops and will be based on a true story.
