Despite the news yesterday that Neveldine & Taylor were being eyed to direct Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Nicolas Cage is in negotiations to return, the actor is not resting on his laurels waiting around for that movie to start. According to Variety, Nicolas Cage will also team-up with Nicole Kidman, who has seemingly gone from being in four movies a year to roughly one, in the Joel Schumacher-directed Nu Image/Millenium action-adventure Trespass.
Written by Karl Gajdusek and Eli Richbourg, the duo would play a married couple taken hostage by four brutal perpetrators seeking easy cash, though things don’t work out as planned. They hope to start shooting the movie in August in Louisiana with Irwin Winkler, Avi Lerner and Danny Dimbort producing.
Although Cage is in talks for the sequel to Ghost Rider and plans are underway for National Treasure 3, presumably he’ll be able to fit this in, although the Ghost Rider sequel will reportedly have to start filming by November in order for Sony to keep the rights.
