Deadline has the scoop on Colin Farrell’s future projects, having just signed to star opposite Anton Yelchin in DreamWorks’ remake of the 1985 horror flick Fright Night and playing a key role in Seth (The King of Kong) Gordon’s next movie Horrible Bosses, which will be produced and distributed by New Line. Heat Vision has stepped up with the additional news that Australian actress Toni Collette has also joined Fright Night.
Most recently, Farrell appeared in a number of independently-financed films including Neil Jordan’s Ondine, out next month, Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and Scott Cooper’s Oscar-winning Crazy Heart, so these movies show a desire by the actor to give the studios another try.
In Fright Night, he will play the role of Jerry, the new man on the block who is actually a vampire preying on the neighborhood, while Collette plays Yelchin’s mother who doesn’t believe her son’s claims that Jerry is a vampire.
