With the DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League special having aired shortly after The Flash midseason premiere on The CW Tuesday, fans of the show were reminded that the show’s star, Grant Gustin, is not playing Barry Allen on the big screen. In the Warner Bros. Pictures film, directed by Seth Grahame-Smith, the character will be played by Ezra Miller. Naturally, some fans spoke out about how they want to see Gustin in the movie instead, though Gustin thinks they got the wrong impression of what he thinks of the situation. He tweeted the following tonight:
Hey, Twitter. Stop putting words in my mouth. Hate that I felt the need to do this, but read this if you please. pic.twitter.com/uVeoGGYRez

The planned film version of The Flash is set to debut in theaters March 23, 2018. Miller will make his debut as the character in 2017’s Justice League Part One where he will join Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
