Nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards® were announced on Tuesday morning by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis and Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway.
James Cameron’s Avatar (20th Century Fox) and Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker (Summit) tied for the most nominations with 9 each.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2008 will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
