Broken Lizard takes the mustaches for a ride in Super Troopers 2 set photos
It’s been a long road to Super Troopers 2, going back to our interview with Paul Soter in 2007 when he said he and the rest of the Broken Lizard comedy team had turned a corner and started playing with the idea of a sequel to their 2001 cult classic. Now, after an enormously successful Indiegogo campaign, our favorite mustacheoed state troopers are back in their old stomping grounds of Spurbury, Vermont (actually a location just outside of Boston) and are up to their old shenanigans. Check out the first Super Troopers 2 set photos from the group’s various Twitter and Instagram feeds (via /Film)!

The group revealed back in 2009 that the plot of Super Troopers 2 would start off only a few months after the first one, with the gang now assigned to patrol an area on the Canadian border that is now believed to be part of the U.S., although the script may have changed since then.
Super Troopers 2 lit up the crowd funding world when it scored a record $4.5 million in donations through its Indiegogo campaign, reaching its original fundraising goal of $2 million in under 24 hours. As with the original film, the sequel is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest) and is written by/stars Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stolhanske and Chandrasekhar. Brian Cox (Rushmore, Rise of the Planet of the Apes) is also set to reprise his role as the stressed-out Captain O’Hagan. Richard Perello is producing.
