Is there much doubt Paul W.S. Anderson‘s Pompeii (TriStar; 2/28) will either begin or end (or possibly both) with a team of archaeologists uncovering the ancient city only to find a couple wrapped in each others arms, their love preserved in time?
The bodies would be those of the slave (Kit Harrington) of a shipping tycoon who was able to overcome all odds and live his final moments in the arms of his master’s daughter (Emily Browning) just before Mt. Vesuvius sent them all to an ashy end.
Just take a look at this just released poster for the film and tell me if you have any doubt whatsoever.
