Today’s batch of MPAA ratings are a little light, but one in particular caught my eye. The title Partysaurus Rex will be the third Toy Story Toons short to come from Pixar on the heels of Hawaiian Vacation and Small Fry. I can only assume it will play in front of Monsters University on June 21, 2013 since Paperman will play in front of Wreck-It Ralph this November.
As far as the storyline, electronic artist BT is working on the score for the short, which should give you some clue as to what it’s about. In an interview (watch it here) he gave some hints saying, “I’m in the middle of scoring a film for Pixar right now. It’s a short for Toy Story and I’m not allowed to say the whole story, but quite literally, it’s like a Toy Story rave – and I’m actually not kidding either. The toys get into all these shenanigans and it’s like pounding club music. So it’s really not very Pixar, but in a really hysterical way, everyone laughs really hard when they see it. It’s really exciting to work with those guys.”
Other than that, here are the latest MPAA ratings from Bulletin #2231.
