Things are looking good for the 22nd installment of the James Bond franchise Quantum of Solace, the second with Daniel Craig as Agent 007, to have the biggest opening for a Bond movie ever. Box Office Mojo and other sources, have the action thriller grossing an estimated $27 million in its opening Friday, which is greater than half the opening of the biggest opening Bond movie to date, 2003’s Die Another Day. It can be projected that it will gross roughly $70 to 73 million based on that opening, which would also make it the fourth-highest opening for the month of November. The previous Daniel Craig installment Casino Royale opened with $40.8 million on the same weekend two years ago before grossing $167 million domestically and $594 million worldwide. Internationally, Quantum of Solace has already grossed $161 million.
