UPDATE: TrekMovie.com reports that Starbust was just guessing and that these words did not come from Takei. Takei currently does not have a role in the film.
In an interview with Starburst magazine, “Star Trek” alum George Takei (“Heroes”) says that he will make a brief appearance in J.J. Abrams’ new Star Trek movie.
[Spoiler ahead] Takei is will star opposite Leonard Nimoy as Spock in a flash forward scene, he says. [Spoiler ends] There’s no word if Takei will be playing an older Hikaru Sulu or another character.
Paramount Pictures will release Star Trek on Christmas Day 2008.
