Megan Fox (Transformers) is teaming with Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody on a comedic supernatural thriller titled Jennifer’s Body.
Fox Atomic pre-emptively picked up the Cody spec last week with Fox in negotiations to star. Mason Novick is on board to produce.
The story, described as similar in tone to Heathers and Beetlejuice, follows a cheerleader with a perfect life who becomes the girl from hell when she gets possessed and begins killing boys in a small town. Her best friend must then find a way to stop her.
Atomic is aiming to make the project before a possible writers strike.
