Blades of Glory helming duo Josh Gordon and Will Speck are in final talks to direct Columbia Pictures’ artificial insemination comedy Baster.
Based on a short story by “Middlesex” author Jeffrey Eugenides, the comedy centers on a 40-year-old unmarried woman who decides to become pregnant by inseminating herself using a turkey baster and sperm from a married friend.
Allan Loeb (Things We Lost in the Fire) wrote the screenplay.
Little Miss Sunshine‘s Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa are producing the project. Steven Pearl co-produces.
