Fly Me to the Moon is a new romantic comedy starring Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson. Directed by Greg Berlanti, the film was released in United States theaters in July 2024. It is now available to buy or rent on digital now.
The exclusive Fly Me to the Moon clip sees Tatum and Johansson, among others, discuss how they went about making the movie, which is about a handful of NASA employees attempting to create a fictionalized version of the moon landing.
“There was a real debate over whether or not the moon landing should be broadcast live, so we did draw on real-life inspiration when writing this,” screenwriter Rose Gilroy says in the video.

What is Fly Me to the Moon about?
“Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, Fly Me To The Moon is a sharp, stylish romantic comedy set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s (Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, the countdown truly begins…”
Based on a story by Keenan Flynn and Bill Kirstein, Fly Me to the Moon is produced by Johansson, Flynn, Jonathan Lia, and Sarah Schechter. Robert J. Dohrmann serves as an executive producer.
The cast of the movie also includes Ray Romano, Woody Harrelson, Jim Rash, Anna Garcia, Donald Elise Watkins, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Christian Zuber, and Nick Dillenburg.
