Chris Pratt teased his future in the superhero genre as Star-Lord beyond Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as well as the potential for starring in James Gunn’s DC Universe. Here’s what Chris Pratt said about returning as Star-Lord playing a DCU role.
Chris Pratt confirms return as Star-Lord and teases a DCU role
The Garfield Movie star was recently asked about coming back to the MCU and also starring in the DCU. While he initially claimed that his return as Star-Lord would make a lot of sense, he also shared that he could get a role in Gunn’s DCU too.
In an interview with Comicbook, here’s what Chris Pratt said about another Star-Lord appearance and a potential DCU role:
“Well, it’d probably make more sense that I would be Star Lord again. But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there’s something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let’s do both. I think it’s 100% both.”
Despite Pratt saying that, his DC superhero role is not confirmed yet. But considering James Gunn has a knack for working with actors he has worked with in the past, there is a huge possibility for MCU’s legendary outlaw to also take on a frontline DCU role.
Which character could Chris Pratt play in James Gunn’s DCU?
James Gunn has teased Pratt and other Guardians of the Galaxy making the jump from Marvel to DC in the past. So while there are multiple DC superheroes that Pratt could take on, including Shazam, Green Lantern, and many others, Batman and Booster Gold have been the most talked about characters for him.
The actor previously joked about being Batman in 2023. But according to many, the character that he could do justice to is Booster Gold. With his comic timing and stardom, Chris Pratt could offer the viewers something unique while bringing Booster Gold to the spotlight.
