Now that Russell Crowe and Karen Gillan’s Sleeping Dogs is in theaters, it has been announced that the crime mystery thriller will be available to buy digitally starting on April 9, 2024.
Directed by Adam Cooper, Sleeping Dogs is based on E.O. Chirovici’s crime novel, The Book of Mirrors. The film, which is written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, served as Copper’s feature-length directorial debut.
What is Sleeping Dogs about?
Sleeping Dogs follows, “Roy Freeman, an ex-homicide detective with a fractured memory, is forced to revisit a case he can’t remember. As a man’s life hangs in the balance on death row, Freeman must piece together the brutal evidence from a decade-old murder investigation, uncovering a sinister web of buried secrets and betrayals linking to his past. With only instincts to trust, he faces a chilling truth — sometimes, it’s best to let sleeping dogs lie,” the official synopsis reads.
In addition to Crowe, Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy) stars as Laura Baines alongside Marton Csokas (The Equalizer) as Dr. Joseph Wieder, Elizabeth Blackmore (Evil Dead) as Dana Finn, Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) as Jimmy Remis, Harry Greenwood (Carnifex) as Richard Finn, Pacharo Mzembe (Love and Monsters) as Isaac Samuel, and Paula Arundell (Late Night with the Devil) as Susan Avery.
Rounding out the cast are Thomas M. Wright as Wayne Devereaux and Lynn Gilmartin as Diane Lynch.
Sleeping Dogs is now in theaters.
