According to Deadline, Daniel Wu is set to join the cast of With Love, an upcoming action movie starring Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan. Filming is now underway.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Wu is an acclaimed Hong Kong-American actor, director, and producer. Wu executive produced and starred in AMC’s Into the Badlands from 2015 to 2019. In 2023, Wu starred in Disney+’s American Born Chinese. As a filmmaker, Wu directed 2006’s The Heavenly Kings, winning Best New Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
Quan shared photos on his Instagram to commemorate the first day of filming.
What to Expect in With Love?
Veteran stunt coordinator and fight coordinator Jonathan Eusebio makes his directorial debut on With Love. The script is written by Josh Stoddard, Luke Passmore, and Matthew Murray. It marks Quan’s first starring role since Everything Everywhere All at Once. Fellow Oscar winner Ariana DeBose stars alongside Quan. Plot details are unknown at this time.
It will be produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch of 87North, the production team behind the well-known action films Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy. Guy Danella will also produce for 87North.
With Love will be released by Universal on February 7, 2025.
