Netflix has released the first trailer for Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp, a new film starring the iconic cartoon character that’s set to release next month.
The trailer for the movie showcases Woody Woodpecker (voiced by Eric Bauza, who played the character in the 2017 film as well) finding himself at Camp Woo Hoo, where he must help keep the camp open as an inspector tries to shut it down.
The film stars Bauza in the lead role and is directed by Jon Rosenbaum with a screenplay written by Cory Edwards, Jim Martin, and Stephen Mazur. The film is set to release on Netflix on April 12, 2024.

What is Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp about?
“Woody Woodpecker must find a new home after being kicked out of the forest. At Camp Woo Hoo, he thinks he’s found a forever home, but there’s an inspector on the loose who wants to shut down the camp,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
Woody Woodpecker originally was created in 1940 by Walter Lantz and storyboard artist Ben “Bugs” Hardaway. The character’s first cartoons were broadcast in the 1950s, and has since become a bit, even receiving its own motion picture star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
